Blue Space Brains

Blue space brains
in the middle of the road?!
One with big red eye . . . .

It speaks to me
telepathically.
Explains our evil ways.

Says we’re due
to buy the farm,
done used up our charm.

Says we better
clean up this marble planet
before we’re all toast.

Brains without bodies –
How did they get there?
Whoosh! Disappeared too!

Were they real?
Who knows? All I know
is I wasn’t drunk or stoned.

Blue brains –
bigger than ours, pulsing . . .
Wasps on fallen fruit.
