The Dr. T. O’Conor Sloane Prize in Science Fiction & Fantasy

The Dr. T. O’Conor Sloane Prize in Science Fiction & Fantasy honors distinguished scientist, inventor and author, T. O’Conor Sloane, Ph.D., the editor of Scientific American and much later in his career, Amazing Stories from 1929 to 1938 and Amazing Stories Quarterly from 1929 to 1934. Here’s a link to the Wiki article.

This prize will be awarded to exceptional works of science fiction & fantasy in the categories of poetry, flash fiction and short story. Eventually, this prize will expand to include novella and book manuscript categories with the award of an eBook publishing contract for the former and an eBook and print publishing contract awarded for the latter by Starship Sloane Publishing. As well, this prize may possibly serve as the springboard for anthologies, collections and poetry chapbooks.

The recipient of this prize is decided by the editor of Starship Sloane Publishing. If the decision is made to open the prize to submissions, an announcement will be made.
