Cosmographer Dr. Daniel Pomarède Named Science Editor

I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Daniel Pomarède will serve as the science editor of Worlds of IF! Dr. Pomarède has a lively style of writing that communicates complex scientific material in a manner that is accessible to the rest of us, the layperson.

It is the intent of Worlds of IF to occasionally present content that is science fact to complement the science fiction. Doing so provides a dynamic and symbiotic mix of perspectives that embraces the limitless possibilities of science, technology, discovery, and the human experience, both factually and speculatively.

It is an honor to have Dr. Pomarède on board to help this magazine take flight in its revival.

Dr. Pomarède holds a Ph. D. in particle physics and cosmology and is a staff scientist at the Institute of Research into the Fundamental Laws of the Universe, CEA Paris-Saclay University. He is the co-discoverer of the Laniakea Supercluster, the South Pole Wall, the Dipole Repeller, the Cold Spot Repeller, and just the other day, of Ho’oleilana, an individual baryon acoustic oscillation.

Cheers,

Justin T. O’Conor Sloane, editor
