The Dr. T. O’Conor Sloane Prizes in Speculative Fiction and Science Fiction & Fantasy Art honors distinguished scientist, inventor and author, T. O’Conor Sloane, Ph.D., the editor of Scientific American and much later in his career, Amazing Stories from 1929 to 1938. Here’s a link to the Wiki article.
These prizes will be awarded to exceptional works of science fiction & fantasy art, and poetry, flash fiction, short story, and novelette in the category of speculative fiction. Eventually, these prizes will expand to include novella and book manuscript categories with the award of an eBook publishing contract for the former and an eBook and print publishing contract awarded for the latter by Starship Sloane Publishing.
As well, these prizes may possibly serve as the springboard for anthologies, collections, poetry chapbooks, and related projects.
The recipients of these prizes are decided by the editor of Starship Sloane Publishing. If the decision is made to open these prizes to submissions, an announcement will be made.
