Love in Golubkina Crater: A SciFaiku Rensaku
Venusian dawn
the solar panels’ shimmer
ripples the crater
distant stars
the pilot mutters
something about home
the time it takes
to suit up for EVA–
my heart beat
Venusian fossils
the broadness
of the biologist’s back
gift basket from Earth
the linger of smoke
in the single malt
horoscopes
I trace the constellations
on his shoulders
ramjets
across the night sky—
my retirement plans
