The Starlight SciFaiku Review, Summer 2022 (issue #2)

27 | The Jesus Android by Katerina Bruno

the Jesus android
programmed with the Bible
can we be saved?

Jesus has returned
in a time machine
technology has saved us

vitreous scales
disguise long daggers
Venusian fingers

the food printer broke
water apparatus now
light years from the base

laughter echoes
through fluid hallways
alien architecture

Katerina is most at home in libraries and bookstores, watching the night sky from her backyard, or standing at the top of a mountain looking to the sea. Katerina loves reading and writing science fiction and her poetry has appeared in various publications that you have probably never heard of.

Editor’s Note: Katerina’s piece, “Globules of light,” which appeared in the debut issue of The Starlight SciFaiku Review was nominated by this publishing house for the SFPA 2022 Dwarf Stars Award and has been selected for inclusion in the Dwarf Stars 2022 anthology by the editors of that publication. Katerina now has a chance to win the award by a popular vote of the SFPA membership.
