Bob Eggleton
Bob Eggleton is a successful science fiction, fantasy and landscape artist. His art appears on the covers and in the interiors of numerous magazines and books.
Bob is the winner of twelve Chesley Awards, nine Hugo Awards, two Locus Awards, and a Skylark Award.
Bob’s books include Alien Horizons: The Fantastic Art of Bob Eggleton (Paper Tiger/Dragon’s World, 1995) with Nigel Suckling, The Book of Sea Monsters (Paper Tiger, 1998) with Nigel Suckling, and — the 2001 Hugo winner —Greetings From Earth: The Art of Bob Eggleton (Paper Tiger, 2000) with Nigel Suckling, Dragonhenge (Paper Tiger, 2002) with John Grant, Primal Darkness: The Gothic & Horror Art of Bob Eggleton (Cartouche, 2003), The Stardragons (Paper Tiger, 2005) with John Grant, and Dragons’ Domain: The Ultimate Dragon Painting Workshop (David & Charles, 2010).
Bob has also worked as a conceptual illustrator for movies such as Sphere (1998), Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius (2001), and The Ant Bully (2006), and for the thrill ride STAR TREK THE EXPERIENCE in Las Vegas. Lately, he has been doing more animated movie concept work, private commissions, self-commissioned work and illustrated books.
Bob has been elected as a Fellow of The International Association of Astronomical Artists (FIAAA), and is a Fellow of The New England Science Fiction Association (NESFA).
He also appeared as a “fleeing” extra in the 2002 film Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.
